On June 30, 2020, Health CAS Rashid Aman announced 176 new COVID-19 cases in Kenya, bringing the total to 6,366.
The patients are from a sample size of 2,419 tested in the last 24 hours, with all the latest cases being Kenyans.
According to Dr. Aman, the 176 new cases comprise 100 males and 76 females, with the youngest being a 3-year-old child and the oldest being 78 years old.
The new cases are distributed across various counties, with Nairobi recording 99 cases, Mombasa 20, Kiambu 17, Migori 13, Uasin Gishu 10, Kajiado 4, Busia 4, Kilifi 3, Machakos 2, Narok 1, Kakamega 1, and Kisumu 1.
As of June 30, 2020, the total cumulative samples tested since March now stands at 169,836.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has risen to 148 after four more patients succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours.
However, in the same period, 26 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 2,039.
