CJ Maraga Embroiled in Deadbeat Father Scandal ¶
On June 30, 2020, a heated confrontation unfolded at Milimani Courts, as a middle-aged woman, Mary Kwamboka Onyancha, accused Chief Justice David Maraga of abandoning his six-year-old daughter.
According to Onyancha, she met Maraga at a church in 2013, where he was introduced to her by her uncle. The two began a routine of meeting after church for career guidance and counseling, which ultimately led to her becoming pregnant.
Onyancha claimed that she had sought assistance from the courts and Maraga, but he had consistently blocked her efforts. The dramatic scene was captured on video, which has since gone viral.
