On June 30, 2020, a heated moment unfolded at the funeral of Hamisa Shabana Taletale, the wife of Babu Tale, a close associate of Diamond Platnumz.
Harmonize, a singer and former Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) record label artist, was among the mourners. As he made his way to take a seat, he attempted to greet Sallam SK Mendez, another manager of Diamond Platnumz.
However, Mendez responded by shoving Harmonize's hand away in anger. Undeterred, Harmonize continued to greet the other mourners seated in the tent.
The incident has sparked speculation about the root of the tension between Harmonize and Sallam SK Mendez. It is believed to stem from a long-standing cold war that began when Harmonize left WCB record label.
Just a few months prior, Sallam SK Mendez had announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19 but had since recovered.
