Published on June 30, 2020, a recent article highlighted the importance of wearing the right bra size. Many women unknowingly wear the wrong bra size, which can lead to discomfort, prolonged back problems, and even premature sagging.

One of the main reasons women wear the wrong bra size is that they don't take the time to get properly measured. A professional bra fitter can help you determine your correct bra size, but if you can't get to a professional, you can measure yourself at home.

To measure yourself, start by wearing a non-padded bra and using a tape measure to get your chest measurement. Place the tape measure around your torso, just below your breasts, and ensure it's straight. Wrap the measuring tape around your body, making sure it's not too tight, and take note of the measurement.

Next, measure your cup size by placing the tape measure along the widest part of your bust, using your nipples as a guide. Ensure the tape measure is straight and take note of the measurement.

Subtract your band measurement from your cup size to determine your cup size. If the difference is one inch, you're an A cup, two inches is a B cup, and three inches is a C cup.

Finally, try on the bra and check how it fits. The straps shouldn't dig into your shoulders, the band should be level all around, and you should be able to move around comfortably.
