June 30, 2020, marked a somber day for Kenyans as they reflected on the six-plus months of suffering endured by DJ Evolve, who was allegedly shot by Babu Owino on the neck. The incident left him paralyzed and unable to speak, with the added fear of never using his hands again, which were his primary tool for trade.

During an interview with Dan Mwangi on NTV, DJ Evolve's struggles to communicate sparked outrage among Kenyans, who took to social media to express their discontent. The hashtag against the inhuman act gained momentum, with many calling for justice.

Radio host Kamene Goro, on her Morning Kiss show, couldn't help but express her anger against the injustice surrounding DJ Evolve's case. She lamented the fact that no one has been arrested and the case has been dragged on for months.
