June 30, 2020, marked a significant milestone for Felix Orinda, popularly known as DJ Evolve, as he shared his harrowing experience after being shot at B Club.

Evolve, who has been hospitalized since January 2020, was shot at close range by Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino.

Speaking to NTV, Evolve revealed the extent of his injuries, saying,

‘I can move my fingers a bit, but that is all I can do for now. My hands were my tools of trade, and even though I can’t move them like before, they are better than when I was first hospitalized. I rely on people to do everything for me. I’m just here; there is nothing I can do for myself.’

When asked about his emotional state after the incident, Evolve shared his initial trauma and how he has since learned to cope, saying,

‘I was very traumatized at the beginning, but I learnt to live with it. Now I can be able to sleep; before I could not sleep at all.’

Evolve still requires a tube to his throat to aid his breathing and cannot move his lower limbs.
