On June 17, 2020, DJ Evolve's life took a dramatic turn when he was shot in the neck. Six months later, he was finally released from the hospital to continue his recovery journey at home.
His mother, visibly emotional, spoke out for the first time on live TV about the traumatic experience. She revealed that her life had come to a standstill since her son's shooting, with everything she used to do grinding to a halt.
‘On that fateful day, I was shocked and felt everything had turned upside down,' she said, struggling to hold back tears. 'I went to God and told him it had already happened, but I prayed he would stand by me and save my son.'
She expressed her frustration with people claiming she had asked for her son's release from the hospital, despite not being a doctor. 'I can't state if he is able to go home or stay in the hospital,' she said. 'My concentration is on my son and his wellbeing.'
