Manny Pacquiao Mourns Loss of Loyal Dog in Freak Accident

On June 29, 2020, boxing champion Manny Pacquiao received devastating news while traveling from Metro Manila: his beloved pet Jack Russell terrier, Pacman, had been killed in a freak accident in the Philippines.

According to reports, Pacman was struck by a car that was reversing in a road in Gensan. The driver, David Sisson, a long-time member of Pacquiao's entourage, claimed responsibility for the accident, stating that he did not see the dog and that it appeared out of nowhere.

'I didn't even see him,' Sisson told Filipino media. 'The boss' bodyguards said he came out of nowhere and it was too late.'

Pacman, who was named after the boxer, was a loyal training partner and a cherished member of the Pacquiao family. The dog was laid to rest at the boxer's backyard.

As news of Pacman's passing spread, fans and well-wishers took to social media to express their condolences to Pacquiao and his family.
