Barcelona Players Clash with Quique Setien After Draw Against Celta Vigo ¶
Barcelona players were involved in a heated altercation with their manager Quique Setien after their 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo in their La Liga meeting last weekend.
The players expressed their displeasure towards Setien, criticizing his tactics throughout the match. They were particularly upset with his decision to replace Luis Suarez with Antoine Griezmann despite Suarez scoring two goals in the game.
According to reports, the players became infuriated after Setien introduced Juventus-bound Arthur Melo for promising youngster Riqui Puig four minutes to the end of the meeting.
Barcelona's draw against Celta Vigo has left them two points behind rivals Real Madrid with six more matches to end the season.
When asked about the team's performance, Suarez laid blame on those responsible for their draw away from home, saying, "I think that's why coaches are there, to analyse those situations. We're there to do our best on the pitch."
He added, "Away from home, we're dropping important points that we didn't usually drop in other seasons."
Footage of Lionel Messi ignoring assistant manager Eder Sarabia's instructions has emerged online, further highlighting the internal rancour within the Barcelona camp.
