June 29, 2020 - Nairobi County official Wilson Njega has accused Starehe MP Charles Njagua of facilitating corruption in the Mwariro market.

Njega claimed that some individuals, including the MP, have been collecting bribes from vendors operating in the market.

According to Njega, the MP and his associates have been extorting money from vendors, who are forced to pay in order to operate in the market.

The Nairobi County government has warned the MP and his associates against engaging in such corrupt activities, threatening to take action if they continue.

Njega stated that the MP and his associates have been receiving numerous bribes from vendors, who are forced to pay in order to operate in the market.

The Nairobi County government has denied any involvement in the corruption, stating that the market is privately owned and operated.

However, Njega claims that the market is actually funded by the national government, and that the county government has no authority over it.
