Published on June 29, 2020, Kenya's Ministry of Health reported 120 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 6,190.
According to Health Chief Administrative Rashid Aman, the new cases were identified from 2,221 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 115 are Kenyans, while five are foreigners. The gender distribution shows 84 male and 36 female patients, aged between eight months and 92 years old.
The new cases were distributed across various counties, with Nairobi recording 67 cases, Mombasa 17, and Kajiado and Machakos each having nine cases.
Dr. Aman noted that while the number of cases is increasing, the country's reliance and 'never say die' spirit will help overcome the crisis.
He also warned that it's only a matter of time before all counties record Covid-19 cases, but urged Kenyans not to panic.
