Coronavirus Cases in Kenya Rise to 6190

Kenya has confirmed 120 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases to 6190 as of June 29, 2020.

The new cases were confirmed after 2,221 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, according to Rashid Aman, the Director of Medical Services at the Ministry of Health.

Of the new cases, 67 were reported in Nairobi, 17 in Mombasa, 9 in Kajiado, 9 in Machakos, 8 in Kiambu, and 4 in Uasin Gishu. Nakuru, Kilifi, and Narok counties each reported 2 cases.

Aman also announced that the number of deaths due to the virus has risen to 144.

He urged Kenyans to continue following the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health, including wearing masks, to prevent the spread of the virus.

As of June 29, 2020, all counties in Kenya are expected to have reported cases of the virus.
