Video of Arrested MP Charles 'Jaguar' Kanyi's Supporters Being Beaten Emerge

On June 29, 2020, a video emerged of supporters of MP Charles 'Jaguar' Kanyi protesting his arrest outside the Nairobi Area police station.

According to reports, the Starehe MP was arrested for allegedly inciting youth to forcibly occupy stalls at the Mwariro Market in Nairobi.

One of the protesters was beaten black and blue by police, as seen in a video shared by Mpasho News on Instagram.

Reactions from Kenyans on Twitter, known as KOT, have been pouring in, with many calling for the release of MP Jaguar.
