Aman emphasized the importance of adhering to government guidelines and rules to prevent the spread of the virus.
He also announced that Kenyan scientists had joined their global counterparts in undertaking research on various aspects of the pandemic.
“These numbers suggest that it is only a matter of time before all the counties record a COVID-19 case. This should not make us panic,” Aman stated.
“Here in Kenya our scientists and health professionals have also been working to enhance the knowledge of the virus in our local context,” he added.
He noted that the Ministry was scientifically tracking COVID-19 cases across the country to inform management and prevention protocols.
