Published on June 29, 2020, Kenya has recorded 120 new cases of Covid-19, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 6190.
According to Health CAS Dr. Rashid Aman, the new cases are from a cluster of 2221 samples tested in the last 24 hours, out of a total of 167,417 samples tested so far.
Dr. Aman noted that 'all except 5 of the new cases are male, with 84 being male while 36 are female. The youngest is 6 years while the oldest is 83 years old.'
The new cases are distributed across various counties, with Nairobi recording 67 cases, Mombasa 17, Kajiado 9, Machakos 9, Kiambu 8, Uasin Gishu 4, Nakuru, Kilifi, and Narok 2.
Within Nairobi, the cases are from Westlands 12, Dagoretti North and Lang'ata 11, Kibra 6, Makadara and Starehe 4, Kamukunji 3, Embakasi and Mathare 2, and Umoja 1.
Additionally, 42 patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries from Covid-19 in the country to 2013.
Unfortunately, one more patient has succumbed to the disease, bringing the total number of fatalities in the country to 144.
