On June 27, 2020, a tense situation unfolded in Nairobi as a group of youth attempted to take over shops in the Grogon area. This incident has now led to the arrest of Starehe MP Jaguar, who was taken into custody by the Nairobi police.

According to reports, the MP was accused of incitement to violence in connection with the Grogon area incident. However, the exact charges against him remain unclear, although they seem to be linked to Mwariro Market.

Just an hour before his arrest, the MP conducted an inspection exercise of Mogira Road in Ngara Ward, which connects Dr GW Griffin Road to Park Road. He stated that the road would help ease business operations for eateries, guest houses, and depots, as well as benefit Park Road Primary with 1200 pupils and Nairobi Technical Training Institute with 5000 students.

The MP had also inspected the progress of Muthurwa Access road within Muthurwa market and announced that maintenance work on Fairview and Northview roads within Pangani ward would start in about two months' time.

Despite the challenges he faces, the MP remains resolute, tweeting, 'I will keep fighting for my constituents. Being a leader is tough but my resolve remains unshaken. Allocations at Mwariro Market have to be fair.'

Nairobi police commander Philip Ndolo confirmed the arrest, revealing that the MP was accused of incitement to violence.
