On June 27, 2020, a horrific incident shook the community of Naivasha, Kenya, when a 42-year-old woman allegedly strangled her four children to death.
According to police reports, the woman, identified as Beatrice Mwende Kimotho, called her brother, Jackson Kimani Kimotho, to inform him of the tragic event.
‘Jackson Kimani Kimotho, 39, a resident of Kinangop reported that his sister Beatrice Mwende Kimotho, 42, called him on Saturday, June 27, at about 1700hrs and informed him to proceed to her residence at Kabati estate in Naivasha and check on her four children as she had killed all of them,’
When police officers arrived at the scene, they found the four dead bodies of the children, identified as Melody Wanja Kamau (8 years), Willy Macharia Kamau (6 years), Samantha Njeri Kamau (4 years), and Whitney Nyambura Kamau (2 years), on the beds in the children’s bedroom.
The officers also revealed that the bodies did not have any visible injuries except traces of fresh vomit and blood on their mouths.
A handwritten note was recovered from the house, which bore details of the motive that led to the incident.
