On June 29, 2020, Zimbabwean songstress Sha Sha made history by winning the Viewers Choice Best New International Act at the prestigious 2020 BET Awards.
She edged out Rema from Nigeria, Celeste and Young T & Bugsey from the UK, and Hatik and Sracy from France in the fan-voted category.
Sha Sha expressed her gratitude to her fans, dedicating the award to those who had always stood by her.
Sho Madjozi, last year's winner, was among the first to congratulate Sha Sha on her award, saying, 'Sha Sha, congratulations. It's one of the best feelings in the world.'
Sho Madjozi, who was nominated in the Best International Act category but lost out to Burna Boy, promised fans she would make a big announcement on Tuesday.
