On June 25, 2020, a brazen robbery took place in Kilimani, captured by CCTV cameras and quickly going viral online.
Responding to the public's attention, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) launched an investigation to bring the culprits to justice.
After tracking down the suspects to their hideouts in Kawangware, Gatina, and Pangani, the DCI arrested four individuals in connection to the robbery.
The suspects include 27-year-old Timothy Jahan Muzami, alias 'Timo,' who was captured on camera hitting the victim with a firearm on the forehead, and Humphrey Minyata, alias 'Daddy,' aged 23 years, who was seen pointing a sharp knife at the victim.
Also arrested were Mary Wambui, aged 23 years, who was harbouring the gang in her house in Pangani, and Ali Musa, alias 'Ally,' aged 26 years old, who was believed to be an associate of the gang.
Recovered from the suspects were a MacBook laptop and several smartphones.
According to the DCI, all four suspects are in lawful custody awaiting arraignment.
