COVID-19 Infections Rise in Parliament ¶
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread, a growing number of Members of Parliament (MPs) have been infected, with six being admitted to hospital.
According to reports, one of the MPs has been transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after testing positive for the virus.
Other MPs who have been infected have been admitted to different hospitals over the weekend for testing and treatment.
Speaking to the press, a senior official from the National Assembly, Michael Sialai, stated that the leadership of the Assembly has no information on the MPs who have been infected with COVID-19, citing the sensitive nature of their health information.
However, Sialai acknowledged that the Assembly's leadership is taking the situation seriously and is working to ensure the safety of all MPs.
Despite the growing number of infections, the Assembly's leadership has maintained that they have no information on the MPs who have been infected, and that the matter is being handled with sensitivity.
As the situation continues to unfold, the public is left wondering how the MPs managed to contract the virus, given their role in enforcing COVID-19 regulations.
It is worth noting that the Assembly's leadership has been criticized for not taking adequate measures to prevent the spread of the virus among MPs.
As the situation continues to evolve, it remains to be seen how the Assembly will respond to the growing number of infections.
