Ben Kitili, a KTN journalist, and his wife Amina Mude, a Muslim, had a whirlwind romance that ended in marriage on November 16, 2018. However, their union was short-lived, as they have now confirmed their separation.

According to Amina's Instagram stories, the couple had actually ended their marriage a month ago. She broke the news to her fans, acknowledging that she had deleted all their pictures together from her page.

"HEY GOOD PEOPLE, SOME OF YOU HAVE NOTICED THAT I HAVE DELETED ALL MY RELATIONSHIP PICTURES IN IG. THANK YOU FOR THE CONCERNS," she wrote.

"I JUST WANT TO CLEAR THE AIR BEFORE YOU START READING SOME HEADLINES. BEN AND I ARE CURRENTLY SEPARATED. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS BUT I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES AND DEFINITELY THE BEAUTIFUL KIDS WE MADE. IT HAS BEEN ONE MONTH OF PAIN AND TEARS BUT I KNOW THAT ONE DAY THE LIGHT WILL SHINE."

The couple's separation is a sad end to a story that had inspired many with their love and commitment to each other, despite their differences in faith.

Amina finished off by assuring her fans that she will get better and adjust with time, writing, "We are good. Am good. I will be better."
