On June 29, 2020, Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz took to his Instagram stories to address a growing trend of women claiming to be in a romantic relationship with him.
He expressed his gratitude to the women who have shown him love and appreciation, but warned those who have fabricated stories about their relationship with him.
“I appreciate the love and support from many women, but I kindly request that those who know we have never been in a romantic relationship stop claiming we are together. It's not a good show,” Diamond Platnumz wrote.
His statement came after a Tanzanian socialite, Husna Maulid, shared pictures of him with different messages attached to them, sparking speculation that she was his current girlfriend.
Earlier, Diamond Platnumz was at the center of a controversy surrounding allegations that socialite Poshy Queen was expecting his child. However, she later denied the claims.
