On June 29, 2020, news broke that Betty Kyallo, a 32-year-old media personality, had left her job at K24. The circumstances surrounding her departure were unclear, with some speculating that she had been fired, while others believed she had chosen to leave voluntarily.
However, in a recent interview with Kenyan Digest, Betty revealed that she would be making a return to TV soon. After a three-month absence, she expressed her excitement to be back on air, stating, 'I took 3 months off air. I know my fans miss me but I’ll be back like I never left.'
When asked about her passion for TV, Betty emphasized, 'I was made for TV. I love being on air. it’s my passion. That’s my first love. Ivanna too comes first.'
From TV to Salon Business ¶
During the interview, Betty also shared her experience of opening a salon, which she had been planning for some time. She explained that she had spotted a two-story building that she believed would be the perfect fit for her salon. Despite initial financial challenges, Betty managed to secure the building within two weeks, thanks to her landlord's understanding nature.
However, the process was not without its challenges. Betty revealed that she had initially left the building without securing it, hoping to return with the necessary funds. She explained, 'I came here in a Monday with my manager (This place had a rent sign for like a year but no one had seen it) I met my landlord and he asked for 3 months deposit to be paid within two weeks but I didn’t have the money.'
