Francis Cosmas Njuguna, a devoted family man, left an indelible mark on the lives of his loved ones. Born to a family that cherished him dearly, he grew up to become a loving husband to Virginia Waitherero Njuguna, a doting father to Sharon and Njau in the US, Jeddie and Njosh in the UK, Johan, Jaymoh, and Izzoh in Kenya, and a father-in-law to Patrick, Doreen, and Muthoni.

As many of you know, Mr. Njuguna had been battling kidney disease for the past seven years. His perseverance and determination inspired his family and friends, who stood by him throughout his journey. In April 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown was beginning, his wishes and prayers were answered when he underwent a successful kidney transplant surgery at Georgetown University hospital in Washington, DC.

However, his hard-fought battle took a devastating turn when he developed serious complications in the past week. Despite his brave fight against an infection, Mr. Njuguna sadly passed away on Saturday, June 27th. His family's plan is to fulfill his final wishes and send him back home to Kenya for his final resting place.

The family anticipates the total funeral costs to be approximately $30,000. A memorial service will be held in Silver Spring, Maryland, with details to be communicated soon. Family and friends will be meeting daily at his home and virtually to share their condolences and memories of the beloved father.
