Kenya's Covid-19 Cases Cross 6,000 Mark as 259 Test Positive

On June 27, 2020, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi announced that Kenya's total Covid-19 cases had risen to 6,070 after 259 more individuals tested positive in the last 24 hours.

Nairobi county led with the highest number of cases, according to Mwangangi. In the same period, 2,718 samples had been tested, bringing the cumulative samples tested so far to 165,196.

Thirty-five patients were also discharged in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recovered patients tally to 1,971. Unfortunately, three more patients died of the virus, bringing the total fatalities to 143.
