On June 28, 2020, Kenya's Covid-19 cases reached a total of 6,070 after 259 people tested positive from 2,718 samples in the last 24 hours, according to Health Chief Administrative Secretary Mercy Mwangangi.
During the Ministry of Health's daily briefing at Afya House in Nairobi, Dr Mwangangi announced that 35 people had been discharged from various hospitals after full recovery, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,971.
Unfortunately, two patients succumbed to the virus, increasing the national death toll to 143.
