Uhuru Remains Mt Kenya's Leader Beyond 2022, Says Peter Kenneth

On June 28, 2020, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth accompanied state officials to launch development projects in his constituency, where he expressed his unwavering support for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking to the press, Kenneth stated, "Mimi niko tayari kusaidia rais na ninmesaidia hata wakati huu, hii miaka mbili atimize ile anataka kutimiza…Wakati atapumzika tukue kwa meza…Na niendelee kesema ya kwamba, ata rais akistaafu atakua kiongozi ya jamiii wa Mlima Kenya."

He emphasized that the Mt Kenya region will continue to look up to President Kenyatta as their leader, who will provide direction beyond 2022.

Kenneth also drew attention to the fact that the peace in Nairobi was a direct result of the handshake between Raila and Uhuru, highlighting the importance of unity and cooperation.
