It's been a tumultuous week for me and my business, Drelina Mini-Bakeries, in Mwisho wa Lami and its environs. My wife, Fiolina, has been increasingly becoming a competitor to my enterprise, and I'm not taking it lying down.

She has poached my top salesperson, Branton, and is threatening to go after my lucrative market by unleashing Nyayo to compete with me directly. To make matters worse, she has copied my name and made slight changes to pass off as a more genuine product.

But what really got my goat was when I saw Nyayo, a popular boda boda rider, carrying a crate of mandazi from Drelina Asili, Fiolina's new business. I had warned her against engaging Nyayo, but she went ahead and did it anyway.

As I rode my motorcycle to deliver breakfast in Mililmani, I met Nyayo and asked him to hand over the keys. He tried to argue, saying he always delivered the expected money, but I reminded him that he was using my motorcycle at my discretion and pleasure.

Fiolina even went so far as to call another boda boda to pick up Nyayo and drop him off at his place, and she even paid for the ride. I was left wondering if this was the laugh of my life or the stress of my life.

But I didn't let it get to me. I delivered my mandazi without any challenges, and I even bumped into Nyayo at the market centre and in Millimani. He was struggling to keep up with me because his motorcycle still had some issues.

It was then that I realized that Fiolina was the real problem. She was using my people and resources to fight me, and I couldn't take it anymore. I wrote a letter to her parents, asking for a meeting to discuss her unbecoming behaviour.

But I didn't stop there. I also used some PR to get the word out about Fiolina's ungratefulness. I called my sister, Caro, who is the Minister for Communication, Broadcasting and Information in Mwisho wa Lami, and told her about my tribulations. I then sent her Sh500 to make sure the news reached both parents.

Now, a reconciliation meeting has been called, and if my terms are not met, I will be taking the next step – impeaching Fiolina from my home.
