On June 27, 2020, a 42-year-old woman in Naivasha made a shocking confession that led to her arrest. She had murdered her four children, three girls and one boy, in a horrific crime that has left the community reeling.

According to reports, the mother first poisoned her children before strangling them to death. The motive behind the heinous crime is still unknown, and police are continuing with their investigations to establish the truth.

The woman, who has six children in total, had initially told a friend that her children were admitted to the Naivasha Sub-County hospital with chest pains. However, she later confessed to the crime, leading to her arrest on Saturday evening.

Naivasha Sub County Police Commander Samuel Waweru confirmed the incident, stating that the suspect is in lawful police custody. He revealed that the woman had taken turns to strangle the four children and slept in the same house until the morning of her arrest.

“The accused first told her friend that her children were admitted to the Naivasha Sub-County hospital with chest pains before confessing a few hours later that she had strangled them,” said Waweru.

Two of her six children were away at the time of the murders, and the police are still trying to piece together the events leading up to the tragic incident.
