It's been three months since Jeff noticed a change in his wife's behavior. She would receive mysterious calls from unknown numbers, often late at night, and would hastily leave to attend to them. When questioned about the calls, she would brush it off as work-related matters.
As time went by, their sex life began to deteriorate. She would become increasingly distant, and when Jeff would try to initiate intimacy, she would claim exhaustion. The tension in their marriage grew, and Jeff lived in constant fear of being abandoned.
