On June 27, 2020, Hoffenheim's Andrej Kramaric made history by becoming the first player from his club to score four goals in a Bundesliga game, as Hoffenheim stunned Borussia Dortmund with a 4-0 away victory.
With this impressive performance, Kramaric took his campaign tally to 13 and helped Hoffenheim move above VfL Wolfsburg to finish in fifth place on 52 points.
Despite Dortmund's early threat, courtesy of Norwegian teenager Erling Haaland's forced save in the fifth minute, Kramaric dominated the game, scoring four goals in a single match.
He opened the scoring after eight minutes, curling the ball home from just outside the penalty area, and doubled his tally after beating the offside trap to slot home from close range on the half hour mark.
After the break, Kramaric completed his hat-trick in the 48th minute, and sealed the deal with a penalty in the 50th minute, slotting the ball home under the body of Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki.
"I dreamt about the possibility of a penalty before the game but, to be honest, my penalty was not all that well taken," Kramaric said of the effort that just crept under Burki's body.
"It's really amazing stuff and feeling to score four goals in this stadium to win this game and to get direct qualification into the Europa League," Kramaric added.
