Barcelona's title hopes were left hanging in the balance after a thrilling 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo on June 27 at the Estadio de Balaídos.

Luis Suarez scored a brace for Barcelona, but Iago Aspas's late goal forced the Blaugrana to drop points.

The match saw both teams create numerous scoring opportunities, with Suarez breaking the deadlock in the 20th minute with a headed goal from Lionel Messi's freekick.

However, Celta Vigo drew level in the 50th minute through Fedor Smolov's well-taken goal, and Suarez restored Barcelona's lead with a cool finish in the second half.

Aspas had other plans, though, as he curled a low freekick into the front post in the 88th minute to level the score and deny Barcelona three points.

The result leaves Barcelona top of the La Liga table with 69 points from 32 matches, but with rivals Real Madrid just a point behind and a game in hand, the title race is far from over.
