Jurgen Klopp's Manchester United Move Blocked by Wife

German tactician Jurgen Klopp's wife Ulla played a crucial role in his decision to join Liverpool in 2015, rather than Manchester United.

With Sir Alex Ferguson's exit in 2013, Manchester United sought a high-profile manager, and Klopp was considered for the prime job after guiding Borussia Dortmund to back-to-back Bundesliga title glory in 2011 and 2012.

However, according to Liverpool legend Phil Thompson, Klopp's wife advised him against joining the Old Trafford club, citing that it wasn't the right choice.

Since joining Liverpool in 2015, Klopp has helped the Reds win a Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and a FIFA Club World Cup.

Under Klopp's leadership, Liverpool has built a formidable squad, with players like Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino proving to be a great combination, netting 47 goals combined so far this term.
