ODM youth coordinator Benson Musungu has made a remarkable recovery from Covid-19, having been discharged from the hospital.

On June 8, 2020, Mr Musungu had revealed that he had tested positive for the disease, but after receiving treatment at the Aga Khan hospital, he has now tested negative.

Mr Musungu expressed his gratitude to the medical fraternity at the Aga Khan hospital, saying, “God is a living God! I want to thank the Aga Khan medical fraternity for the best care have ever received in any hospital…all the nurses God bless you.”

He also thanked ODM leader Raila Odinga and other party members, including Mr Oduor Ong'wen, for their support during his illness.

Mr Musungu's recovery is a testament to the effectiveness of the treatment he received, and he has also used the opportunity to raise awareness about the reality of Covid-19, which has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Before his illness, Mr Musungu had been active in politics, having contested the ODM primaries for the Kibra parliamentary seat in 2019, but unfortunately, he was unsuccessful in his bid to become the area MP.
