Siaya Man who overcame poverty to become dentist builds mom home ¶
Ken Carson, a dentist from Siaya, has built a new home for his mother as a gift for her 55th birthday, in recognition of the sacrifices she made for him to succeed.
Carson's story is one of determination and hard work, having risen above poverty to lead a successful and happy life. He initially narrated his story, noting that his mother decided to sell their homestead so he could join Form One.
Life in school was not easy, as his father was forced to exchange farm produce for school fees. However, Carson's hard work paid off, and he received a full scholarship from the school, enabling him to complete high school and later join college.
Now a dentist, Carson is working hard to give his mother the best life she deserved but never had. He recently shared photos of a newly built mansion on his Facebook page, with the caption 'To you my Mama, I gift you this during your 55th birthday, thank you for all your sacrifices.'
Carson's inspiring story is a testament to the power of determination and hard work. His story serves as a reminder that with courage and confidence, we can overcome any obstacle and achieve our goals.
