Kenyan singer Akothee has made a significant change in her management team, replacing her former manager Nelly Oaks with a Nigerian brand manager, Benjamin Omesiete.
According to Akothee's Instagram post, Omesiete will be handling all corporate enquiries and bookings for the singer.
“Meet Mr Benjamin Omesiete the official manager of brand Akothee to all corporates. Feel free to talk to us…We are ready for business,” Akothee wrote.
Omesiete is a well-established figure in the Nigerian entertainment scene, with his own music label, Askana Music, and a marketing agency, Aknotela Entertainment Ltd.
He is also close friends with Nigerian superstar Mr Flavour, as evident from his social media handles.
The move comes after Nelly Oaks, who was rumored to be Akothee's romantic partner, disappeared from the limelight, sparking speculation about the reasons behind his departure.
Akothee later issued a statement clarifying that Nelly had gone back to school to pursue a Master's degree.
However, it appears that Nelly's departure has been permanent, and Akothee has moved on to find a new manager in Omesiete.
