Eric Marcelo Ouma Visited by Kenyans While Recovering in Sweden

On June 27, 2020, a group of Kenyans living in Sweden surprised Harambee Stars defender Eric Ouma, also known as Marcelo, at his home as he continued to recover from an injury he sustained while training with Swedish top-tier side AIK.

Ouma, a former Gor Mahia talisman, had been discharged from the hospital in early June and was recuperating from home. He sustained a fibula fracture while training with AIK and was expected to be out for six to eight weeks.

Photos shared online showed the group of Kenyans enjoying a meal together, with Ouma still in a cast and clearly still some way from making a full recovery. However, a determined Ouma was already undertaking light training in the hopes of returning to action as soon as possible.

AIK Football club, which is one of the powerhouses in the Swedish Allsvenskan league, was in fairly decent form after winning their last two matches. They occupy third place in the standings after three games.
