Kenyan celebrities are challenging the notion that women cannot make the first move on men they admire. Nana Owiti, the wife of rapper King Kaka, is the latest celebrity to confess that she made the first move on her husband.
Speaking on Chat Spot, Nana Owiti revealed that she met King Kaka at a movie shop and made the first move, saying 'hey sasa, unakaa poa.' She noted that her husband did the chasing, but she didn't die, and it's all about shooting your shot.
She also revealed that she and her husband do not follow each other on Instagram and Facebook, a decision they made as a couple to avoid situations that would put their relationship on trial and scrutiny from the public.
Other celebrities who have made the first move on their partners include actress Brenda Wairimu, who revealed that she has made the first move on all men she has dated, including baby daddy rapper Juliani.
Former TV presenter Betty Kyalo also confessed that she made the first move on her ex-husband Dennis Okari, and they ended up marrying.
Recently, a Kenyan woman went viral on Instagram after sharing a video where she is seen giving a phone call to a guy asking him out on a date, sparking the hashtag #Shootyourshot.
