On June 26, 2020, Kenya's Health ministry announced a significant increase in Covid-19 cases, bringing the total to 5,533. This rise is attributed to 149 new positive cases reported in the past 24 hours.

According to the ministry, 48 more people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,905.

Health CAS Rashid Aman made the announcements during the daily briefings, highlighting that more men are being infected with the virus than women.
