On June 24, 2020, a shocking incident occurred at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya. Former Wajir Senator Abdirahman Ali Hassan had a harrowing experience when his driver, Joel Musyoki, allegedly fled with Ksh.2.1 million in cash.

According to a police report filed by Mr. Hassan, he was dropped off at the KICC for a meeting around 3:30 pm. However, when he came out, his vehicle was nowhere to be found. The vehicle, which had Ksh.2.1 million in a rucksack in the rear seat, was later discovered abandoned near Nyayo House with the money missing.

A team from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Central region, has launched a hunt for the suspect, Joel Musyoki. The incident has left many wondering how such a large sum of money could be stolen from a public place.
