On June 26, 2020, singer Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, made a significant change in her management team by unveiling her new brand manager, Benjamin Omesiete.
According to Akothee's Instagram post, Omesiete is now the official manager of Brand Akothee, and she has invited corporate entities to reach out to him via email or through his Instagram handle @mistah_ben.

Akothee's decision to appoint a new brand manager comes over a year after her previous manager, Nelly Oaks, went missing from the limelight.
Speculations about the reasons behind Oaks' disappearance were rife, with some speculating that the two had parted ways.
Akothee later clarified Oaks' whereabouts, stating that he had gone back to school to pursue a Master's degree.
