Mediamax's recent layoffs have left many in the industry reeling, but not everyone is mourning the loss of jobs. Over 50 employees, including prominent figures like Jalang'o, were let go, sparking a mix of reactions from their colleagues.
However, one person who saw the layoffs as a blessing in disguise is Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi. Speaking to Jalang'o on his YouTube channel, Bonga na Jalas, Sudi congratulated the comedian on his 'firing', saying it would help him think and work hard.
According to Sudi, being unemployed will give Jalang'o the opportunity to focus on his YouTube channel, which he believes will soon grow into a TV station. 'I am happy they fired you,' Sudi said, expressing his confidence in Jalang'o's future prospects.
Other journalists who lost their jobs at Mediamax include Betty Kyallo, Tony Kwalanda, and Fred Indimuli. While many are offering support to their former colleagues, Sudi's reaction has left some scratching their heads.
