On June 26, 2020, Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi celebrated the firing of comedian Jalang'o from Mediamax-owned radio station, Milele FM.
Speaking with Jalang'o on his YouTube show, Bonga Na Jalas, Sudi described the firing as a 'blessing in disguise' for the comedian.
According to Sudi, Jalang'o will now have the opportunity to think and work hard as a self-employed individual, something he could not do while in employment.
"I am happy they fired you," Sudi said, attempting to encourage the comedian and others who were laid off by Mediamax.
He also used the opportunity to condemn Mediamax-owned TV station K24 for firing over 100 of its employees.
