On June 23, 2020, actor O'Neal Nyanje began an aggressive 8-week chemotherapy regimen after being diagnosed with cancer.
According to his wife Jenna, O'Neal had been experiencing back pain for over a year and a half, which they initially attributed to his active lifestyle.
However, a few months ago, O'Neal's condition worsened, and he became largely bedridden. An MRI scan revealed multiple fractures in his spine, ribs, and hips, hinting at Multiple Myeloma, a type of cancer.
A bone marrow biopsy confirmed the diagnosis, and O'Neal is now undergoing treatment.
His wife Jenna has set up a Caring Bridge page for updates and donations towards his treatment.
She has also asked for prayers, saying, "Speaking as his wife, I can personally testify to watching O'Neal standing in full knowledge that God is good regardless of unimaginable pain around him."
