On June 5, a 17-year-old girl from Homa Bay County traveled to Vihiga County to meet her Facebook 'friend,' Vincent, whom she had met online earlier that year.
According to the girl, Vincent invited her to his home in Mbale, Vihiga County, where they spent the night together. However, the encounter turned into a nightmare when Vincent defiled her and threw her out of the house.
The girl then met a boda-boda operator, Davies, who took her to a lodging in Kakamega, but he also disappeared, leaving her stranded.
She eventually met a third man who offered to take her back to Vincent's house, but he ended up defiling her as well.
It was not until June 10, five days after her horrifying experiences, that a woman came to her rescue and took her to the Mbale Police Station, where she recorded her ordeal.
The police then called her mother, who was shocked to learn that her daughter had been defiled by three men, including her Facebook 'friend.'
The mother is now pursuing justice for her daughter, saying, 'The man who invited her to this place should be arrested.'
Investigations into the case are ongoing, with Vihiga County police Commander Leonard Omolo stating that details about the case would be divulged once the investigation is complete.
