On June 25, 2020, Kenya reported 178 new cases of COVID-19 after conducting 3,918 tests in the last 24 hours.
Health Ministry Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Mercy Mwangangi announced the new cases during a press conference at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), where she also launched a call center.
The new cases include 3 foreign nationals, with ages ranging from 1 to 76 years old. The distribution of the new cases was as follows:
- Nairobi: 100 cases
- Kajiado: 21 cases
- Migori: 17 cases
- Kiambu: 16 cases
- Busia: 8 cases
- Mombasa: 7 cases
- Machakos: 4 cases
- Nakuru: 2 cases
- Uasin Gishu: 1 case
- Kericho: 1 case
- Taita Taveta: 1 case
Additionally, the health ministry reported 34 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,857. Unfortunately, 2 more patients succumbed to the respiratory disease, raising the total number of fatalities to 132.
