On June 5, 2020, a 17-year-old girl from Homa Bay County traveled to Vihiga County to meet her Facebook lover, Vincent, whom she had met online earlier that year.
According to the minor, Vincent invited her to his home in Mbale, Vihiga County, where they spent a night together. However, the encounter turned tragic when Vincent defiled her and threw her out of the house.
The girl then met a boda boda operator named Davies, who took her to a lodging in Kakamega, but he disappeared, leaving her stranded.
She later met a third man who offered to take her back to Vincent's house, but they found it locked. The man then hosted her for the night, where he also defiled her.
A woman eventually came to her rescue on June 10, 2020, and took her to Mbale police station, where she recorded her ordeal.
The police then contacted her mother, who was shocked to learn of her daughter's experience.
The girl's mother is now seeking justice for her daughter, saying, 'The man who called her to this place should be arrested.'
