Police Crack Down on Car Theft Syndicate in Mombasa

On Thursday, June 25, 2020, police in Mombasa made a significant breakthrough in the fight against car theft, arresting nine individuals suspected of being part of a notorious syndicate.

The suspects were apprehended in an early morning raid by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Nyali, Mombasa.

According to police, the suspects were tracked to a house at Furaha Apartments in the upscale Nyali neighbourhood, where they were found in possession of several incriminating items, including rolls of bhang, shisha pots, a packet of shisha, and a substantial amount of cash.

The suspects are currently in police custody, pending further investigations and arraignment in court.
