Published on June 25, 2020, Khaligraph Jones's story is one of grit and determination. Born and raised in Kayole, the rapper's early life was far from the luxurious background many assume.

"I come from humble beginnings," Khaligraph recalls. "I came from something, but it was nothing compared to the standards that I have set right now."

Despite his current success, Khaligraph's past was marked by limited opportunities and financial struggles. He never attended university or college, and his dreams were simple: to eat well, live good, and buy good clothes.

However, Khaligraph's passion for music drove him to pursue his dreams, despite the challenges he faced. "The purpose for me to do music is not because of the fame and success attached to it or the amount of money you will make. I do it because I'm passionate about it," he explains.

With his first big break coming in 2012 with the hit collabo "Biashara," Khaligraph's trajectory was on the up and up. Today, he is one of Africa's biggest stars, and his music continues to inspire and captivate audiences.

When asked what advice he would give his 22-year-old self, Khaligraph responds, "That is 9 years ago? Keep on griding man!" His words are a testament to his perseverance and dedication to his craft.

Despite his success, Khaligraph remains humble and grounded. His mum, a pastor, is a fan of his music, but prefers the songs where he sings, not raps. Khaligraph's journey is a reminder that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
