The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has resumed the issuance of certificates of good conduct, with plans to serve at least 600 Kenyans daily.

According to the DCI, clients will be served at the DCI headquarters on Kiambu Road from 7am to 4pm, with all services conforming to the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Kenya's residents are urged to book an appointment on the e-Citizen online portal first, indicating the date and time they would like to be attended to.

Only those with appointments and who arrive at the designated time will be allowed past the gate, the DCI stated.

With over 37,751 pending applications, the DCI aims to process them expeditiously.

The agency had suspended the issuance of certificates of good conduct on March 16, 2020, as part of measures to reduce the spread of coronavirus in the country.
